K.P.Sharma

The Founder Director K. P. Sharma, affectionately called K. P hails from a village in Garhwal and heads the team of experienced locals in GARHWAL ADVENTURE PVT.LTD. He was inspired to take to mountaineering while serving in the Indian Navy.

His mountaineering ventures have been to Nandakot(1959), Annapurna III (1961), Everest (1962), Tharkot (1963), Rathong (1964), Trishul (1976).

He is widely travelled and trekked in most parts of Himalayas and is author of " GARHWAL & KUMAON: A TREKKERS & VISITOR'S GUIDE" published by CICERONE Press, Milnthrope, Cumbria, England. He is on the elite decision making government body of the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board.

Nidhish Sharma born 27.07.1964 , Director of the company has over 24 years experience in planning and leading the treks and tours. His experience in handling adventure tours has given him an in-depth knowledge of tourist related services. Nidhish's thorough knowledge of traditions and folk lore makes him very popular with guests. An extensively traveled man within the country and abroad, he speaks the local language fluently as well as English. Their vast knowledge of tourist destinations, the mountains, handling tourist related problems, friendly customer relations, the traditions and folk lore especially of Uttarakhand add greatly to the experience of participants. Nidhish has been responsible for assisting National Public Radio (NPR) USA for their prestigious radio serial related to the river Ganges and the television Documentary on the global warming of the receding glacier at the Source of River Ganges for the National Geographic, USA.

Kalyani Sharma

Nidhish’s wife Kalyani born on 19.12.1966 is a Post graduate in economics and holder of the fine arts Diploma and has recently been inducted as one the co Director of the company where she is looking after the day to day welfare of the staff.

When Nidhish is away leading groups then Kalyani takes over his job as well and successfully manages the company. Kalyani loves floating parties at home and most of the groups which pass through the hometown DehraDun are always invited at their residence and Kalyani who is an excellent cook is an excellent host too!!

Rohit Barthwal

Rohit, Born on 24.08.1982 is a post graduate in the Travel Management. A very dedicated worker and full of enthusiasm who is  one of the best known faces amongst the tour leaders specializes in leading groups in Garhwal, Ladakh and Rajasthan where he claims to know the areas as good as he knows the palm of his hand!!

He is also a keen birdwatcher.

Sunil Negi

Sunil, born on 18.09.1982 a Science graduate  qualified as a Tourist guide and hold a diploma of the said subject. He leads the trekking groups and also day to day office work.

He has excellent knowledge of computer hardware and software and is therefore, also responsible in maintaining the company”s computer systems.  A very charming boy has all the qualities to become an effective tour leader and his favorite places to lead people are Garhwal and Rajasthan.

Bhagwati Deorari

Bhagwati, born on 12.10.1976 has been associated with the company for almost 14 years. He is an excellent cook and has all the qualities of a good trek leader. He has done one year rigorous course on the first aid and is very competent in mountain rescue system.  

He is responsible for maintaining all the mountain equipment.

Our Other staff's Knowledge of Mountains, people, customs, history and mythology add enormously to the enjoyment of these treks and tours in what is already a very beautiful and unspoilt region. Our trek leaders are assisted by number of local staff including a cook, a cook's assistant, camp boys, and a number of porters or mules and muleteers to look after the transport of all the food, baggage and equipment. With our first hand knowledge, personal service, range and variety of trips and the flexibility, has enabled us to serve many of the people across the globe and have made their holiday’s memorable one.
